Osaka Japanese Restaurant Hamburg: A Hidden Gem for Authentic Japanese Cuisine

Don’t let the hotel location fool you, Osaka Sushi in Lexington, is a hidden gem and truly a top-tier Japanese dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the sweetest hostess and server, Sarah, whose kindness and attentiveness set the tone for the evening. I had a craving for something off-menu, and Sarah happily asked the chefs if they could prepare a creamy shrimp tempura appetizer for me and they absolutely delivered! Alvarez crafted a beautifully presented Tiger Roll, and Hui went out of his way to accommodate my special request with care and professionalism. The specialty sushi was not only fresh and flavorful, but incredibly reasonably priced at $12.95! Honestly, if I were local, I’d be here every day!! Great food, great service, and a warm, upscale atmosphere. Osaka Sushi is a must-visit.

March 15, 2025 My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner while exploring new dining options. We were surprised to find it located inside the Holiday Inn, but once inside, the ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a great dining experience. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server Titus was wonderful and took great care of us. For our meal, we ordered the salmon skin roll, spicy roll combo, and Fox roll, all of which came with soup and salad. The food was delicious, and we even had leftovers to take home. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we would definitely return!

My husband and I went to Osaka today and it was phenomenal! It will definitely be a new go to date place for us. I had the fantastic roll and fantastic is an understatement. My husband had some sashimi, a salmon roll, and masago. It was all amazing. The flavors were perfectly crafted making each sushi bite a wonderful treat. We also had some edamame that was perfectly done and steaming on arrival to the table. For drinks I had a blueberry lemon drop martini that was to die for. It was the best of any martini I have ever had. My husband had a Orion beer that was great as well. Our waitress Sarah was kind and attentive. She offered recommendations throughout. At the end of the meal we received complimentary fried ice cream. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and we cannot wait to go back!

We recently celebrated my son's 10th birthday at Osaka Hamburg, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for what would be a truly special evening. What truly made the night exceptional was the incredible service. The staff, especially Jalen, went above and beyond to make my son feel celebrated. They were attentive, kind, and even surprised him with a special birthday treat that made his face light up with joy. It’s rare to find a place that combines amazing food with such thoughtful, personalized service. Osaka Hamburg made this milestone birthday one we will always remember. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a fantastic meal and create lasting memories, this is it. We’ll definitely be returning—and my son is already asking when! Service was absolutely amazing, our waitress was the absolute sweetest! Our alcoholic beverages were delicious. My husband ordered the Japanese Sunflower - they were actually out of pineapples, so the added mango juice instead, but it was still so good. I got the Lychee Margarita, which kind of tasted similar to pear, and it was also really good. We did not try the salad that came with our chicken Mei fun, but I tasted the dressing and knew it wasn't for me. My husband and I both enjoyed the Mei fun, it was really good, even though there were a few mushrooms in it after he asked for none. I got the spicy crab roll. It was my first time trying sushi. I didn't love it, but I also didn't hate it. Our waitress said my pieces were bigger than they should have been, but I'm not complaining about that. The soup was delicious, as silly as that sounds. Our favorite part of the night was our waitress - she was very friendly, polite, and sweet. We definitely recommend!

My experience at Osaka, nestled within the Holiday Inn, was truly exceptional! I savored the chicken hibachi, which was flawlessly prepared, and we sampled a variety of sushi that was both fresh and delectable. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak hibachi as well. We also indulged in miso soup, which added a lovely touch to our meal. The staff was wonderfully friendly and attentive, creating a warm atmosphere. The establishment was clean and well-kept, contributing to a delightful dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Osaka !

The food here is amazing. The noodles were flavourful and well cooked. I had the Shogun Chicken which was served with a soup and salad the salad was fresh and the house dressing was phenomenal! The miso soup that accompanied it was not to be slept on either. The Shogun Chicken was just the right amount of crispy and the sauce coating packed a flavourful punch. Our service was outstanding! She was polite and attentive. Always tending to us and seeing our needs were met. This is the best services we've ever received. Thank you so much Celilia for your amazing work. The atmosphere was wonderful the relaxing music and beautiful lighting were very nice.

First time in this restaurant,we love it! Update:7/10/2025 We love this place so much, my husband and I come here from Richmond every weekend. The staff know us already, they know where we like to sit and what we like to drink.
